A beautiful informal Rosary was held with friends and colleagues Tuesday afternoon February 19th at Our Lady of the Lake Church. (Updated 2/19/2013 10:48PM)
A vigil service has held in memory of Scott Mader at 7:00PM Thursday, February 21st, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Lake Oswego, Oregon. As a loving community we shared prayers and memories for Scott with Maureen, Kevin, Erin, Ellen and Brian. (Updated 2/22/2013 @ 3:58PM)
A funeral service was held for Scott Lawrence Mader, M.D. at 11:00 AM Friday, February 22nd at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Prayer, Song, scripture and lifestories were shared as we pulled together to hold and support Maureen, Kevin, Erin, Ellen and Brian as we said our goodbyes to this finest of human beings. The family has made arrangements with Crowne Plaza hotel in Lake Oswego, Oregon to block out rooms and provide a special rate to those travelling into town. The Crowne Plaza has graciously set their room rates for this event at $99/night, including two free breakfasts and free shuttle service within 5 miles (Vigil Service, Funeral Service and Life Celebration will all be nearby). Pickup and dropoff to and from the airport can be arranged by contacting the family or emailing John Major at John.Major@SummitCoreStrategies.com. Thoughts
It was heartbreaking to receive the phone call telling me Dr. Mader had passed last February. I will still in the midst of receiving chemotherapy for DBCL, a form of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. We both were in the midst of fighting a blood cancer. I will forever be thankful for my time working with Dr. Mader and his endless caring. I have begun training for a half marathon as part of Team in Training, a branch of Leukeumia & Lymphoma Society, which raises money for continued research, education, and assistance programs. First and foremost, I am participating in memory of Dr. Mader. I am so thankful for the few years I had a chance to know him!

We cried, we laughed and we honored one amazing man just one week ago. Our tears, our laughter and our admiration for Uncle Scotty will be forever cherished in our hearts and memories. We will truly miss Scott and we feel very blessed to have had him as part of our family. Love to The Mader Family From The Lipaj Family
