Scott explained his diagnosis to me probably about 10 years ago (exactly how long ago is fuzzy to me) noting that he probably had about 10 years to live. He modeled "how to be a good father" to me as I watched him nuture Brian in ski racing with the MAC ski team. He continued attending ski committee meetings even after he no longer had a child on the team. He was a valuable contributor, kind and positive. I wish the world were filled with people like Scott.
